Internship Programs

Fairfield Counseling Services actively seeks to provide learning opportunities for clients and staff alike. To that end, the Agency serves as an internship site for Master level professionals. The Agency provides clinical supervision by state licensed and Approved Supervisors for Marriage and Family, Social Work, Community and Professional Counseling Programs, and currently collaborates with Fairfield University, Southern Connecticut State University, the University of Bridgeport and Fordham in training students in the provision of effective mental health services.

The Agency provides a multi-disciplined team environment in working with individuals, couples and families which is supervised by a diverse staff, that include a psychiatrist, APRN, a licensed clinical social work supervisor and approved marriage and family supervisors. Internships are available through the year and commence with the Fall, Spring and Summer semester schedules of the universities.
